Self-Critique

Watching my video after I rendered it, I saw a few areas where I could do better. One of them was that I could have more smoother transitions. For example, I could have played with the speed on the soap more. I could hav played with the bubbles alot more than I did. But I am satisified with what I have saying that this was my first time using After Effects. Also I would liked to have added some text somewhere in there. I could work on the ending alot more also.I think I was too ambitious with my idea, so the stuff I wanted to do was to advance for what I knew. There is only one place to go from here and that is up. I will learn from this project and improve on them for my next project.

Research Topics

Topic 1: My first topic that I will research and try to discuss is "Hype." What is hype? How did the hype begin in the first place? Also, how hype is beneficial and hazardous at the same time?

Topic 2: My second research topic will be about different maketing trends, such as: guerilla marketing, buzz marketing, viral marketing and etc. I want to investigate which marketing ploy would be most effective in certain situations and how other are more effectives than others.

Topic 3: My third topic will be about color symbolism, that is the use of color as a symbol throughout cultures and religions.
I want to explore the usage and imagery of different colors in different cultures. Various cultures see color differently. For example, black is often seen as the 'color' of death in Western culture. This is likely because when things die the rotting flesh will turn black, and it is also the color of wood after fire has completely consumed it. Black is also the 'color' of the unknown, since darkness hinders vision. The association of white with death in Eastern cultures could come from the white cloth used to enshoud corpses, for example Egyptian mummys, or the stark whiteness of bones and skeletons. Red is often a color representing violence, war, aggression, or passion; this is probably because red is the color of human blood.

Soap Commercial Designs

Untitled soap...

Untitled Soap Packaging
I kind of tweaked my concept a little. I want to go more for a "natural" feel now.
